Photos from Shangri-la Mactan, Cebu Philippines

My number one rule when I travel is to plan ahead of time which outfit to bring and wear during the entire holiday, but this time All I knew was that I need my swim wear because we're going somewhere to swim. I do not travel light ever, ever!

 Last Friday 17th of June 2011 I was shocked to death when I realized that we were actually bound for CEBU. My mind started to run a whole bunch of photos of resorts and hotels in the area, I was standing there in the Baggage check-in counter having no idea where in Cebu are we going to stay? lol* This is again a suprise trip out of the Metro with my bf before going back to Cambodia! Travel Food Fashion TFF whatever, is like Multivitamins to me I was not feeling great I have a flu I have a cold but when it's time to fly I felt energized Hahaha we were flying with Philippine Airlines (the first airline company in Asia Haha!) and it was delayed (as usual) for an hour. We arrived at Mactan International Airport around 3pm tired hungry and sick of the low tempreture inside the cabin, after picking up our luggage bf went straight to a Hotel airport representative of Shangr-la, That was the only time I discovered that we have a suite waiting for us in Shangri-la Mactan. It was a quick 15minute drive from the Airport, a private transfer was included in our Hotel package so it was so cool!.

 This is my First time to be in Mactan and was delighted that we are staying in Shangri-la. When we finally arrived at the Hotel They were all smiling and we really had a warm welcome!... I've worked in a Hotel so I know all about this business with smiling and stuff so we'll move on!  they asked us if they can take a photo of us (for the record), I said "yey photos!" Hahaha we did our private check-in in our Panorama Suite in the Ocean Wing of the Hotel! Its a Luxurious 72 sqm/775 sqft Suite facing the sea!. It was just perfect! Let me share a few Photos I have taken.  I took around 300++ shots but lets say some of them were beyond my Photoshop abilities chareng!

I love the idea that these clay pots have Alibata around it- Alibata is the Ancient Script much like our old Alphabet here in Philippines before the Spaniards came..

With our package we get to Acess Shangri-la Mactan's Ocean Club and Lounge and get free snacks tea and coffee! This photo (above) was taken inside the smoking section of the lounge! The Building behind me is 
Mövenpick Hotel it was Formerly Hilton Cebu

They also serve afternoon cocktails and wines so after a quick tour around the Hotel we came back to have a Glass of Australian Chardonay!

 We Had our Dinner in AQUA an Italian Restaurant and I had the biggest Ossobuco in my life lol I can't finish it, it is just too much..

We opened our own wine- Waltraud 2009 Riesling- This wine is Dedicated by the French wine maker to his German Wife..  A love story in a Bottle!

......we decided we need some Grappa, after grappa we were ready to leave but then the waitress surprised us with a cake. lol

We were not so sure why we have an anniversary cake, but very thankful. maybe it was a mistake maybe it was for the other couple next to us but anyhow we ate it LOL*

After our Dinner in Aqua we went to Cowrie Cove to get something to drink unfortunately I got so drunk lol* and they have to call a buggy to take me to the room Hahaha I really enjoyed the night Can't remember how I got back to the room though..and woke up fresh no hangover whatevs!

This is Catherine a Friend of Mr.Randy, Mr.Randy and I did not meet in person yet Like I've known him online But for the last years while I hop from one Shangri-la to the other it Seems that he knows a lot of people from every Shangri-la property here in Philippines! I've met some of his friends and I wish I can meet him in person soon! Maybe in his Hotel in Abu Dhabi?

There are a lot of benefits and it really is something if you are a  Member of the Golden Circle (bf has a Jade membership) so start collecting your points everytime you stay at a Shangri-la Hotel

All in all our stay was really delightful, Great rooms, clean and with Luxurious Amenities, Great Food excellent service in the restaurants, attentive and very friendly staff, and if you are traveling with your kids Shangri-la Mactan is a Hotel for you they have E-zone and Kids only areas where you can leave your children to play, there are attendants  to watch after the kids. The beach wasn't the best, I mean there are so many Good beaches in Philippines and here this is not the best one. The Ocean Club & lounge Was really a fab touch! I like it!
